About Tenino School District

For generations the Tenino School District has been the educational home to students across our community as well as a critical part of what makes our community a great place to live. We would like to extend a special welcome and a heartfelt thank you for the trust that you have placed in us.

The Tenino School District has a dedicated staff with a commitment to excellence. Our purpose is to provide each student the best education possible. To this end, the district has added additional world language and honors programs at the high school and art at the elementary and middle schools. All of this ensures that every student succeeds– academically, through participation in co-curricular, and social-emotionally. Our students' success is our highest priority.

Our District is made up of four schools. Parkside Elementary serves students from Kindergarten - 2nd Grade. Tenino Elementary serves students in Grades 3-5. Tenino Middle School, Grades 6-8 and lastly, Tenino High School serves students in Grades 9-12.

Tenino School District employs approximately 180 staff, including administrators, teachers, paraeducators, secretaries, custodial staff, and more!

Our District's Strategic Plan: Summit to Student Success

Our Tenino School District Board of Directors adopted our new strategic plan in May 2024. The goals listed in our strategic plan will help align our work as a district and will provide our buildings with meaningful benchmarks that will be incorporated into our school improvement efforts.
