6th grade student orientation is Friday, Aug. 30th at 9am. Come meet your 8th grade mentors, get your schedule, tour the school and learn all about middle school. This is for students only.
7th and 8th grade Back to School Night is Thursday Aug, 29th at 6pm. We'll have hot dogs, chips, and water. Come get your schedule, tour the school and meet your teachers. See you then.

The TMS Reward trip to see the Garfield movie at Yelm Cinemas is tomorrow, Tuesday the 11th. Concessions will not be open so students are allowed to bring sealed single serving snacks. If you student is bringing snacks please have them bring them in a clear bag about the size of a Gallon ziploc bag.
The TMS field trip to the Yelm cinemas to see The Garfield movie will be on Tuesday, June 11th. Permission slips are now available. Please turn those in by Monday June 10th. There is no cost for this field trip.
8th Grade Families- The buses from the field trip are estimated to be at TMS around 6:45pm.
The musical theater class will be performing the show "Nifty Fifties" on Friday May 31st at 7pm in the TES multipurpose room. Doors open at 6:30pm. Come out for a fun night and see the great work our theater students are doing.
Tomorrow, May 30th the 8th graders are going to the Mariners game against the Astros. Students will be leaving at 11am and returning around 6pm. And the 7th graders will be going on the Tenino History Tour. They will be leaving around 8:45am and returning to school around 1 pm.
Reminder that there is no school on Friday, May 24th.
Tomorrow night, TMS will be hosting The Knight of Art at 5:30pm and the Band Concert at 7pm. Come out for a great night of visual and performance art and see the great things our TMS artists have accomplished this year.
The last Activity Night of the year is coming up this Friday from 6pm-7:30pm. The theme is Hawaiian Hula so wear your school appropriate Hawaiian clothes and come on out for a fun night. Students must buy tickets in the office by lunch on Friday.
TSD is partnering with FESS to offer the Guiding Good Choices Parenting Together Series. This is a great tool for families. The class will meet starting May 22nd. Classes are from 6-7:30pm. See the attached flier for more details.

This Monday, April 15th is the last day for 8th graders to turn in permission slips for the "Try a Trade Day" field trip to New Market Skills Center. If your 8th grader is interested in participating please have them turn in the permission slip soon.
TMS will be hosting a parent night on Tuesday, April 9th at 6pm to talk about changes to the TMS schedule next year. Please come out and learn about the addition of intervention/enrichment time and how this will support your students.
