More holiday spirit!

Our Food Drive and Coin Drive were both very successful. We collected over 1100 items and $675 in cash to support our local food bank. Thank you Tenino for your support and kindness.

We celebrated the Christmas season (and a well-deserved holiday) in style at TES on Tuesday. Teachers and students dressed up and our assembly was filled with holiday songs and good cheer. Students especially enjoyed spraying silly string on the teachers that raised the most money for the Food Bank. Thanks to all the parents who helped make it a great day!

Our 5th grade guitar concert was a huge success. We are so thankful for our music program and for our young musicians. Thank you Adam Craig foundation for the guitars!

Canned Food Drive and Coin Drive. It's not too late to donate canned food and loose change. Our goal is 1200 food items. We are also collecting coins. The teacher with most is silly-stringed at our next assembly. All proceeds go to the T9O FoodBank.

Students enjoying shopping for family members at the Holiday Shop, sponsored by our PSTA!

We Create Change! Dec 3-14 students can bring in change to put in staff bottles. The staff member with the most change will get covered in silly string at our December assembly! All proceeds go directly to Tenino charities!

Student safety is our number one priority. Today, as a precaution, Tenino Elementary and Tenino Middle School went into a modified lock-down at approximately 1:20 p.m. and were released from lock-down at approximately 1:45 p.m. We were in lock-down as a result of police activity in the area. Staff and students responded to the incident in a calm and professional manner and at no time were students in any danger. We appreciate the support and communication with Tenino Police.
Respectfully,
Joe Belmonte, Superintendent

Here's wishing everyone a safe, happy and fun Halloween. We had a blast today at school. Adding the emphasis on descriptive words made it even more worthwhile and memorable.

Chains of kindness in library.

Students gathered the classroom chains of kindness and created one big long chain that now wraps around our whole library. Rachel's Challenge has been a great addition for our school's emphasis on creating a safe and positive culture.

3rd Graders have fun playing capture the cone during lunch recess.

On Friday, students and staff were invited to wear pink as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Along with our spirit assembly, it made for a special, community-centered day at TES.

Students participate in soccer teams. All three teams are having a successful season. Girl power at TES!
